A superbly designed strong but lightweight folding chair offering short term or emergency transport in a variety of applications. Users include those people with restricted mobility, or those involved in accidents in the home or at the workplace.

The TRANSIT will appeal to professionals and carers, working in many different environments, such as ambulances and public transport, in industry and commerce, nursing homes and hospitals, and in domiciliary care.

Constructed mainly from tubular steel, chromium plated for durability and good looks, the TRANSIT is an elegant chair, the one-piece replaceable cover, incorporating a safety belt, is made from fire retardent, nylon reinforced, anti-bacterial PVC in a restful green; and strong, easy to grip carrying handles are provided.

The TRANSIT folds up to a fraction of its size when not in use, and where footrests are fitted, these automatically fold with the rest of the chair. Wall hanging brackets are supplied.

A major feature of the ingenious design is the simple, fast, single action method of unfolding. An unobtrusive locking catch automatically holds the chair in the open position and is easy to release to refold.

Both models illustrated in this section have 5" fixed wheels at the rear and 3" castors at the front end for easy mobility. Both models come supplied with footrests.
